Brokers are the street buyers for everything your job makes: meth, weed, pharmaceuticals, metal bars and more. Find one by its nameplate, walk up, press **E** and start a sale. Their names and spots change every 15 minutes.

---

## Kinds of Broker

| Broker | Buys | Price |
| - | - | - |
| Fence | Everything | 20% below market |
| Gardener | Weed | Full market price |
| Cook | Meth | Full market price |
| Nurse | Pharmaceuticals | Full market price |
| Smelter | Industrial goods | Full market price |

The nameplate shows what that broker pays as a percentage of the base price. The Fence shows what it takes, coloured by how good the deal is. Each rotation tries to put one broker of each kind in every district that has spawn points.

---

## How a Sale Works

**Walk up and press E.** Pick what to sell. One sale takes your whole stock of one product type, so a bag of different pills needs one sale per pill type.

**Stay close.** A bar counts down while the broker counts the goods. If you drift away you get a warning, and 15 seconds outside the range abandons the sale.

**Get paid.** The money lands in your wallet when the bar finishes.

Dying, being arrested or changing job ends the sale. Abandoning a sale puts you on a 15-second cooldown. After a finished sale you wait 5 seconds before the next one. You can't start a sale while you're in a fight with another player, and other players near the broker can still attack you during one.

Crates and other physical goods are taken from the floor a slice at a time as the timer runs. An interrupted sale leaves what it hadn't reached yet at the broker's feet.

### The Sell Box

At a broker you can fill a 14-slot sell box, which appears as a third pane next to your inventory. Only goods the broker buys fit in it. Selling the box is one sale covering everything the broker takes, and the timer adds up each line, up to 30 seconds. Walk away and the contents return to your inventory. Die and the box drops at the broker as a loot bag.

## What Changes the Price

| Bonus | Amount |
| - | - |
| Party near the broker | +5% with one living member within range, +8% with two, +12% with three or more |
| Sale streak | Sell again within 5 minutes of the last sale: +3% on the third sale in a row, +5% on the fourth, +8% from the fifth |
| Tip | A 15% chance on each sale of an extra 5% to 15% |
| Paid rank | VIP +1%, VIP+ +2%, MVP +3%, MVP+ +4%, Premium +5%, Premium+ +7.5%. See [Ranks](https://justified.gg/ranks). |
| Broker standing | Up to +5% at Hero (below) |
| Selling someone else's trade | Half price. The sale page shows "Not your trade". |
| Selling a lot | Each sale to the same broker lowers its price a little, by up to 25%. Its price climbs back over time. |

Spread your sales across several brokers and the saturation never builds.

## Broker Standing

Each trade keeps its own standing, so Gardener progress doesn't carry over to the Cook. Every sale earns standing, and a sale that's a full typical load earns more. Selling goods outside your own job's trade earns half.

| Title | Standing | Price bonus | Fence skim relief | One-off XP |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| Neutral | 0 | None | None | None |
| Friendly | 1,000 | +1.5% | 3% | 50 |
| Trusted | 3,000 | +2.5% | 5% | 100 |
| Honored | 7,000 | +3.5% | 7.5% | 200 |
| Hero | 12,000 | +5% | 10% | 400 |

The first full-size sale to each trade every day earns an extra 40 standing. Skim relief only applies at the Fence, since the other brokers don't skim.

Walking out of a sale you started costs standing. Getting arrested costs 2% of your standing with every trade. Neither takes an established seller below 150.

## The Market Board

The market board tracks ten commodities: meth, cannabis, pharmaceuticals, heroin, opium, industrial goods, gold, recycled trash, cryptocurrency and counterfeit cash. Prices update every 60 seconds, each as a percentage of its base price within a band.

- Sell a lot of one commodity and its price is pushed down. The pressure fades, so a flood hurts for a while, not forever.
- With no one selling, prices drift back to 100%.
- Random events move prices up and down. Many are announced as street rumours about 3 minutes ahead.
- Every hour the market spotlights a few commodities and moves them.
- During a falling event, one broker of the affected type pays over the going rate for as long as you keep bringing goods.
- A buyer sometimes posts a standing contract for a commodity. Early sellers get a bonus up to 20% over the going rate, and it shrinks as the contract fills.

While a market event runs, a status box on your HUD shows it and the time left.

## Tips

- Sell to a quiet broker, not the one you just hit.
- Bring your party. Three friends beside the broker is +12% on every sale.
- Check the nameplate before you sell. A Fence costs you 20%.

## FAQ

### Why did my sale get cancelled?

You moved too far from the broker, died, got arrested or changed job.

### Do brokers move?

Yes. They rotate every 15 minutes with new names and positions.

### Why is my payout lower than the quote?

Saturation, the Fence cut or a not-your-trade penalty. The sale page lists each one.
