Licence summary for automated readers: https://justified.gg/llms.txt A pet follows you, grows as you work and gives you stats and abilities. You get pets from **Zog**, from creature drops and from eggs, and you manage them in the **Pets menu**. Type `/pets` to open it. Pets are one of the best long-term upgrades on the server. A level 100 Legendary pet can add real Strength, Crit Damage, Speed or Health, plus abilities that help you in fights or at your job. --- ## The Pets Menu Open it with `/pets`, `/petmenu` or `/petsmenu`. The menu shows every pet you own with its level, rarity, age, stats and abilities. - **Summon** puts a pet out to follow you. You can have one out at a time. - **Despawn** sends it away. Its stats stop while it's away. - **Hold an item.** Use a pet item from your inventory while a pet is summoned to give it that item. - **Convert to item.** Turns a pet back into an inventory item. What it held, wore and drank comes back too. You do this to sell it to George. - **Exp Share.** Pick a second pet that learns from the one you have out. - **Favourite.** Mark the pets you care about. You own one pet of each kind. Use a higher-rarity copy of a pet you already have and it replaces the old one, keeping its XP. The old one comes back to you as an item. A lower or equal copy is refused. --- ## Rarities Pets come in six rarities. A pet's rarity sets how much XP it needs and which abilities it has. | Rarity | Colour | XP for level 100 | | - | - | - | | Common | White | 5,624,785 | | Uncommon | Green | 8,644,220 | | Rare | Blue | 12,626,665 | | Epic | Purple | 18,608,500 | | Legendary | Gold | 25,353,230 | | Mythic | Pink | 25,353,230 | Higher rarities have stronger stats and unlock more abilities. Pets you buy or find run from Common to Legendary. Mythic shows up on a few rare pet skins today. Kat can raise a pet's rarity. Its name shows its age and its size grows too. | Age | Reached at level | Size | | - | - | - | | Newborn | 1 | 60% | | Junior | 6 | 70% | | Pre-Teen | 17 | 80% | | Teen | 36 | 90% | | Post-Teen | 65 | 100% | | Adult | 100 | 110% | An [Age-Up Potion](https://justified.gg/wiki/item/pet_age_potion) grows your pet up at least one age, whatever its level. You also get one for every Taming level. Eggs and fully grown pets refuse it. --- ## Pet Types Every pet has a skill, and it levels only from the jobs in that skill. | Skill | Jobs that level it | | - | - | | Combat | Burglary, Gun Dealer, Heists, Hitman, Law Enforcement, Robbery, Terror and creature kills | | Mining | City Worker, Factorian, Fuel Refiner, Gold Digger, Retro Miner | | Farming | Chef, Pizza Chef, Smoothie Maker, Weed Grower | | Fishing | Deep Sea Diver, Fisherman | | Foraging | Trashman | | Alchemy | Firework Maker, Genetic Researcher, Heroin Cook, Lean Dealer, Medic, Meth Cook, Moonshine Distiller, Opium Cook, Pharmacist | | Enchanting | Botnet Operator, Casino Manager, Enchanting, Light Designer | The Taming and All Skills pets level from every job at a third of the rate. No. One is summoned at a time. The Exp Share slot lets a second pet learn from the first. ### Do pets work in PvP? Your pet's Health and Speed work everywhere. Its Strength, Crit and Defense work against the infected. See [Combat Stats](https://justified.gg/wiki/pve/combat-stats). ### My pet isn't levelling. Why? A pet only levels from the jobs in its own skill. A Combat pet gets nothing from Retro Miner. Check the line on its menu that starts "Levels only from". ### Where do I find Zog, Kat and George? All three are in Downtown.
