Gold Digger Guide

Complete guide to Gold Digger mining on Justified DarkRP - digging, washing gold, and selling via lantern

Gold Digger

Gold Digger (/golddigger) is a roaming mining job. You dig for gold in sand and dirt, wash it through your machine, and sell it with a lantern. It's interactive, profitable, and you never need to visit an NPC. Just launch your gold into the sky!

Guide Accuracy

We keep this guide up to date, but specific values may change with server updates. Always check in-game for current figures.

The Full Process

Buy Equipment

Get a Gold Washer, a Bucket, Rubber Mats and a Lantern from the F4 menu. Your job already gives you a shovel and a sieve.

Set Up the Washer

Place your Gold Washer anywhere you like. It doesn't need to be near water.

Attach Rubber Mats

Put rubber mats on the washer. These catch the gold.

Dig with the Shovel

Left-click on dirt, sand or grass. The dirt goes into a bucket near you.

Wash the Dirt

Pour the bucket into the washer and press its water button to turn the water on.

Collect Gold

Press E on rubber mats to take the gold off as jars.

Sell via Lantern

Load jars onto a lantern, press E outdoors, and watch it fly away with your money!

Gold Washer Setup

Setting Up the Washer

  1. Place the Gold Washer
  2. Attach rubber mats to its mat slots
  3. Press the water button to turn the water on
  4. Ready to wash!

When every mat is full, the washer stops and waits for you. Your gold is safe until you collect it.

Digging for Gold

Gold Veins

  • The ground has invisible gold veins with more gold in them
  • Each swing shows the gold ratio at that spot, and whether you're getting warmer or colder
  • Move towards warmer swings to find a vein
  • Veins don't last forever

While you dig you'll sometimes turn up a find: cash, a richer vein, a Bit, or even a weapon.

Washing & Collecting

Pour Dirt into the Washer

Bring your full bucket to the washer. The dirt goes in.

Turn On the Water

Press the water button on the washer.

Wait for Processing

Gold lands on the rubber mats as the washer works through the dirt.

Harvest Mats

Press E on each mat to take its gold as a jar.

A red exclamation mark means the mat is full. Harvest it so the washer keeps going.

Merge Jars

Touch jars together to combine their gold.

Selling Gold

The lantern is how you sell. No NPC needed!

Buy a Lantern from the F4 menu

Touch up to 3 jars to the lantern. It shows what they're worth

Make sure you're outdoors (it needs open sky)

Press E to launch the lantern

Watch it fly away. Your money arrives with a receipt

Gold sells for £14 a gram. You can sell from anywhere outdoors: the beach, streets, rooftops.

Alternative: The Sieve

Your job gives you a Sieve for washing gold by hand:

  1. Right-click on dirt to collect it in the sieve
  2. Left-click to wash it
  3. Press R to empty the sieve's gold

The sieve is slower, but it's free and good for starting out before you can afford a washer.

Level Rewards

Gold Digger has 60 levels. As you level up, more washer upgrades go on sale, your rubber mats hold more gold (750g at level 7, 1,000g at level 18), and your jars hold more (1,500g at level 12, 2,000g at level 26).
