Cash in your wallet can be taken when another player kills you. Cash in your bank account can't. Use any ATM, or the Bank, to move money in and out. Printers can also be stored in the Bank's vault, and stash crates hide items and cash out in the open.

ATMs

Press E on an ATM within about 1.3 metres. Walk away and your session closes. You can type amounts on your keyboard as well as click the keypad.

  • A new account opens with £5,000.
  • Withdrawals go straight to your wallet.
  • ATMs inside the Bank charge no fee. Others charge 1% to 3% of the amount, and each ATM's rate changes daily.
  • A deposit that would go past your account's limit only banks what fits. The rest stays in your wallet.
  • You can't deposit while you're in a fight with another player (20 seconds after you last landed a hit) or while a mug, raid or hostage situation involves you. Withdrawing still works.

Account Tiers

Upgrade your account at an ATM. Each tier doubles how much you can hold. The upgrade is paid from your bank balance first, then your wallet for any shortfall.

What Each Unlock Does

TierYou can
CurrentSend money to other players from any ATM, online or offline, by card number or SteamID
PlusBank money from anywhere with /deposit
DiamondWithdraw from anywhere with /withdraw. Not while you're wanted or in a fight.
PalatialSet a wallet limit with /walletlimit. Anything above it banks itself once a minute, but never mid-fight.

Premium+ and anyone with a Cookie Buff can use /deposit and /withdraw at any tier. Remote deposits and withdrawals have a 5 minute cooldown that each paid rank shortens by 30 seconds, down to 2 minutes at Premium+. Walking to an ATM has no cooldown. See Ranks.

A premium card lasts 7 days, doubles your history and skips the remote cooldown. It costs 5% of what your tier cost, at least £2,500.

Interest

Your balance earns interest once an hour. It comes in brackets, so a bigger balance earns less per pound.

Balance sliceInterest per hour
First £1,000,0000.20%
Up to £5,000,0000.10%
Up to £20,000,0000.05%
Up to £50,000,0000.02%
Above that0.01%

Your tier's most-interest figure is the cap. A full account earns nothing more.

Hacking an ATM

Only criminal and gangster jobs can lockpick an ATM. You need at least 5 players online and 3 police. The lockpick takes 60 seconds, sounds an alarm for everyone and makes you wanted for 2 minutes. After you lockpick one, you wait 20 minutes before picking another, and that ATM goes out of order for 10 minutes. A hack pays between £100 and £10,000 and 20 XP. Police get £500 for killing a hacker and £2,000 for an arrest.

The Bank Vault

The Bank Manager job runs the Bank's printer vault. Printers you store there come out of your base, and a staffed vault pays more.

  • Three vault doors with 4 slots each at the start. You can bank at most 4 printers at a time.
  • A deposit costs £2,500 handling, paid to the manager, when a manager is on duty.
  • With a manager on duty, a banked printer earns 25% more, rising to 50% when the manager keeps the doors serviced.
  • With nobody on duty, an automated service pays 10% more and takes a 6% charge off what you collect.
  • The manager sets a cut between 5% and 20% of what you collect. The default is 12%.
  • Criminals can crack the vault during a declared bank raid. Each crack destroys one random banked printer that isn't the raider's.

The Bank Manager job needs level 5 and 1 hour of playtime. It pays a £57,500 salary, and only one player can hold it.

Money Bags and the Vault Heist

Criminal and gangster jobs can rob city vaults. You can carry up to 3 money bags on your back, and they slow you: walk speed 120, run speed 200. Press G to throw one. Die, get arrested or change job and you drop them all. Pick up a mask from the ground, press H to wear it and J to drop it. Die with it and it's gone.

Stashes

Stash crates hide cash and items on public roads and pavements. Type /stash to open the menu. You can have 3 stashes at once. The crate is paid for from your wallet when you place it.

  • Money in the Small, Medium and Large Stashes earns 5% interest per hour up to the interest cap. Whoever cracks it can steal the interest too.
  • Only the Large Stash takes upgrades: Bomb (£15,000) makes the crate explode when a crack timer runs out, so the loot is lost. Camo (£25,000) hides it from one Scanner Mine sweep, then it's used up. Warn (£7,500) warns you if someone tries to crack it.
  • The Item Stash adds copies of health items, batteries, ammo and food every hour, equal to 25% of what it holds.
  • Other players can crack a sealed stash with a minigame. They get 25 seconds. A failed crack locks that stash for 10 minutes.
  • The Scanner Mine reveals hidden stashes close by, then has a 5 minute cooldown. It costs £15,000.
  • Destroy your own stash from its menu and the money drops as a money bag, with the items beside it.

Tips

  • Bank everything you don't need to spend in the next few minutes.
  • Upgrade to Plus early. Banking from anywhere saves a lot of running.
  • Don't hide your stash where the same four people walk past every day.

FAQ

Is my bank money ever at risk?

Not from dying. A successful ATM hack does take a small share of the reward from every online player's account.

Why did my deposit only partly go in?

Your account hit its tier limit. The rest stayed in your wallet.

Can I put a crate inside my base?

No. Crates only go on public roads and pavements.
