The Marketplace is where players sell to each other. Talk to the Market Trader to open it, or use the commands below if your rank allows. It has two halves: Browse for one-off listings and auctions, and the Bazaar for materials sold by the unit.

Opening It

Anyone can look. To buy, sell, bid or collect, you must be within about 4 metres of the Market Trader, or have remote access.

You can't trade remotely while you're in a fight. See Ranks for what each rank adds.

Listing an Item

Pick the item from your inventory in the sell form.

Choose cash or Bits, a price, and fixed price or auction.

Pick a length. The listing fee is taken up front.

Collect later. Earnings and returned items wait on the Collect page.

Prices are whole numbers. Cash listings run from £1,000 to £999,999,999 and Bits listings from 10 to 9,999,999 Bits. Materials can't be listed here: sell them on the Bazaar. Pets list here as normal listings. A rented or timed item needs at least one day left before it runs out.

Browsing and Buying

Filter by Weapons, Entities, Vouchers, Backpacks and Materials, or show everything. Sort by newest, ending soon, price low to high, price high to low, or name. Each page shows 20 listings. Weapons get a quality grade from S to D based on how their stats compare to a normal one: S is 20% or more above normal, A is 12%, B is 6%, C is 0% and D is below normal.

Every new listing posts a line in chat naming the item and its price.

You can keep up to 10 wishlists. If a listing matches one, you're told, no more than once every 5 minutes per wishlist.

Sellers earn titles by sales: New Seller, Novice Trader at 5, Merchant at 25, Expert Trader at 100 and Master Merchant at 500.

Auctions

A bid must beat the current bid by at least 5%. A bid in the last 5 minutes pushes the end out to 5 minutes from that bid,.

The Bazaar

The Bazaar trades materials by the unit with buy orders and sell offers. You need to reach Character level 7 first. It's in the Escape menu under Marketplace.

RuleAmount
Order size1 to 71,680 units
Price per unit£1 to £500,000,000
Order lasts14 days
Orders open at once14 (28 with remote access)
Total held in buy orders£1,000,000,000
Tax on sales1.25% (1% with remote access)

Buy orders hold your money up front. If the order is cancelled or runs out, unspent money and unfilled units come back to you, through Collect if they can't be delivered straight away.

Buy now takes the cheapest sell offers straight away and accepts up to 4% above the last offer it reaches. Sell now fills the best buy orders and accepts down to 4% below the last bid. Buy now asks you to confirm when the price is over twice the 7-day average. Sell now asks when it's under half. Sell all sells your materials at the best buy prices and skips any you marked to keep.

The Website

The Marketplace page on the Justified website lists items and dupes. You need to sign in with Steam to see it. The Justified desktop app can list, buy, bid on, cancel and relist items too.

Tips

  • Short auctions are cheap at 1% and end while you're still online.
  • Weapons show a quality grade, so check it before you pay.
  • Use the Bazaar for stacks of materials. A single listing on Browse can't hold them.

FAQ

Why can't I use the Bazaar?

Reach Character level 7 first.

Why did the listing fee come out even though nothing sold?

The fee is paid up front when you list.
