SWAT Heavy — "The Phalanx"
They call him the Phalanx. He doesn't dodge. He doesn't retreat. He walks through whatever you throw at him and keeps coming.
The grey armor is ceramic and steel, rated to stop rifle rounds at point-blank. When they deploy the Heavy, the message is clear: this ends now.
The Story
He was the only survivor of the Dockyard Massacre.
His entire squad—twelve officers—were cut down in an ambush while responding to a hostage situation. The intel was wrong. The backup never came. He watched them fall, one by one, and he kept moving forward because falling down meant dying.
Three hours later, the rescue team found him standing over the last of the shooters, armor cracked, bleeding from a dozen wounds, still on his feet.
They rebuilt him with metal and medication. Gave him the heaviest armor IPD could buy. Now he's the one they send when they expect casualties.
Every breach, he goes first. Every door, he kicks down. If something's going to kill the team, it has to go through him. That's the deal he made with himself after the Docks.
He absorbs the bullets so nobody else has to.
[!IMPORTANT] The Massacre The Dockyard Massacre wasn't random. Someone inside IPD gave them up—fed bad intel, delayed the backup. The Heavy has been investigating quietly. He's close to a name. But the name might be someone he trusts.
What Drives Him
He wants to protect his squad. Never lose another officer on his watch. Be the wall that nothing gets through.
What he needs to accept is harder: he can't save everyone. Guilt isn't the same as duty. And surviving isn't a failure—it's a responsibility.
