September 29 Update

Chat tabs, a cosmetics locker, a new quest board and the ocean fights back

September 29, 2026

Chat, quests and your wardrobe are rebuilt, hit numbers are clearer, and the Deep Sea Diver now has a fight on its hands.

Chat

  • Chat tabs: Each tab shows its own lines with unread counts, and the tab you're on picks the channel you type in. Local is the default tab and shows everything.
  • Typing shortcuts: Type // or /y and the chat box switches to that channel for the message.
  • Private messages: They get their own PM tab.
  • Colour: Money shows as green figures (red for losses), and times, XP, levels and counts get their own colours.
  • Emoji: Typed smileys turn into emoji, and Enter takes an open suggestion.
  • Player card: Click a name to see their rank and level.
  • Laws: Each new law is announced in chat with its text.

HUD

  • Laws panel: It only shows when a law changes, or when you press F6. The playtime panel is gone.
  • XP and levels: XP gains show beside your crosshair and level-ups pop as an emblem over it.
  • Wanted: Stars only show while you're wanted, and other players see a steady tag over your head.
  • Gang districts: The district shows as a name in the world with a thin capture bar.
  • Quest tracker: Redesigned, with objective markers.
  • Hit numbers: Each hit pops a number with a running total beside the target. Headshots crit, kills get a skull and your pet's hits get a paw.
  • Loot pickups: Bursts of loot are told in one line.
  • Screen effects: Spores fog your sight instead of covering it, and stuns dazzle you instead of flashing white.

Quests

  • Job board: The quests menu is rebuilt as a job board, with the payout as the headline figure.
  • Chains: A searchable quest log shows every chain in one place.

Cosmetics

  • Locker: The wardrobe is now a full-screen locker with a studio view, a camera that moves to each slot, and your selected pet on a card.
  • Pets: Summon a pet by dropping it in the pet slot.

Shops

  • NPC shops: The shop menu has a new look, names the shopkeeper in its header and keeps items you can't afford in colour.
  • George: Buys a Common Zombie Torso for £5,000, and you can convert a pet back to an item for him.
  • Cash sound: Every buy and sell plays the cash register.

Inventory

  • Stack: Stack an inventory, or quick stack into a container, in one go.
  • Split: Every stack now offers Split.
  • Guns: A picked-up gun with lives stays in your inventory.
  • Sort: Sort leaves locked items where they are.
  • Item card: A new look for the item hover card, with a labelled grade and a clearer footer.

Deep Sea Diver

  • Scuba gear: One worn item, upgraded at the Artifact Buyer, which has its own menu with art.
  • Air: It drains faster the deeper you go and when creatures hit you, and drowning is a slow blackout.
  • The ocean fights back: Sea creatures now swim the ocean, and wrecks hide chests.

The Sewers

  • Hollow: He now clears a void around himself that keeps the infected out for a moment.
  • Slayer bosses: They rise with a ritual, minibosses with a blast, and the Revenant spits more headcrabs.
  • Antlion hive: A new hive in the lower sewers.
  • Lightsabers: Sewer creatures are immune to the lightsaber and its Force powers.
  • Shooting: You can shoot any part of a creature from any side, and big creatures can be hit in the head.
  • Props: Creatures knock your prop down for a minute instead of deleting it.
  • Strangler: Its tongue can be shot.

Weapons

  • CS:GO knives: They hit harder.

Fixes

  • Chatbox: Taller by default, and suggestions stay off the PM list.
  • Chat: Fixed chat lines disappearing when the chat reloads.
  • Pets: A failed pet summon no longer eats the request.
  • AFK: The early AFK warnings take longer to appear and hide while a menu is open.
  • Sewers: Fixed creatures healing from shots by a player right next to them, and sounds that looped forever.
  • Diving: Fixed sea creatures getting stuck inside each other and a leech snapping back off its diver.
  • Scuba tank: Sits on the wearer's back.
