October 1 Update

Sacks, a new casino, PvE mode and a new HUD

October 1, 2026

A big day: material sacks, a rebuilt casino, community crates, PvE mode in the sewers and a fresh look for your HUD.

HUD

  • New main HUD: Health, armour, cash and your job now sit together in a slanted block at the bottom left, with your rank shown as a chip after your name. Status effects appear as small chips beside it.
  • New ammo counter: Shows the special round loaded in your weapon and a reload prompt when your magazine runs low.
  • New killfeed: Kills slide in on a fixed list. Repeat kills of the same creature stack into one row with a count, and your own kills get a white edge.
  • Community goal: Restyled and moved under the quest tracker.
  • Escape menu: Cash is shown in a compact form, your level is a labelled figure, and menus you haven't unlocked yet stay off the tab bar.
  • Rank chips: Each rank's chip glints in its own colour.
  • Laws: The laws box is gone from the HUD. Press F6 to open the F4 dashboard instead, and mayors can place a City Board with /placelaws.

Material Sacks

  • Sacks: Mining, fishing, junk, combat, Slayer and farming materials now go into sacks that hold far more than your bag.
  • Where to get them: Craft Beginner sacks at Bram, and sell straight from your sacks on the Bazaar.
  • Sack of Sacks: Unlocks once you carry a Large sack of every kind.

Collections

  • Material collections: A new Collections tab in the Escape menu tracks every item you find, with art and tiers. Locked collections show their names before you find them.
  • Bestiary: Now lives inside the Collections tab, and every creature has its own level.

Casino

  • Rebuilt casino: Plinko, Crash, Limbo, Dice, Mines, Blackjack, Roulette, Coinflip and Slots, all in the new look. Type /casino to open it.
  • Plinko: Drop up to 50 balls in a single bet.
  • Fair payouts: Wins are paid when the animation lands, and a bet you leave mid-round is settled for you.

Unboxing

  • Community crates: Make your own crate, list it and earn when others open it. Makers can see opens, age and best item, and get told about sales.
  • Daily level cases: A new unboxing level with free daily cases.
  • Cheaper boxes: New low-priced cash and crate boxes, plus two cheap street crates.
  • Selling pulls: Sell a pull straight from its reveal, or sell everything in one go.
  • Exchange: Trade items down into a lower crate.
  • Faster opens: Fast open and stacked reels when you open several at once.
  • Reward labels: Every reward says whether it's Kept, a rental, cash or a crate.

Combat and the Sewers

  • PvE mode: In the sewers, fighting the infected puts you in PvE and your shots can't hurt other players. Use /pve and /pvp to switch, and a badge by your name shows which you're in.
  • New rounds: Void and Singularity rounds drag the infected in. Rounds now stack higher, and you can swap them in combat from a Rounds slot in your inventory.
  • Combat tag: Getting hit by the infected puts you in combat for a few seconds.
  • Thrower: A new creature that lobs debris, and ranged creatures now keep their distance.
  • Frost creatures: They slow you down much more.
  • New mutations: Over a hundred new zombie, headcrab and barnacle kinds.
  • Golden happening: A Radiant is called to the whole server and fights back. Its killer is named to everyone.
  • Slayer bosses: Bosses and their adds now fight only their summoner, and several bosses got tougher.
  • Creature levels: Every creature in the Bestiary has its own level, and they're harder to climb.

Inventory and Loot

  • Pickups go to your inventory: Loot you pick up merges into your stacks, and you can take it in combat.
  • Auto-sell: MVP and Premium can auto-sell loot to Bram.
  • Material picker: Choose which materials you don't pick up.
  • Quick Sell: Confirm it from the inventory's right-click menu. A weapon pays less the fewer lives it has left.
  • Containers: Sort and Stack work on every open container, and Shift-click moves items into the one you opened.
  • Open with I: The inventory opens with I by default, and middle-click drops an item.
  • Floor drops: Materials on the floor show their icon.
  • Retro Miner: Bars and crates have new art in the inventory.

Jobs and Events

  • Secret package: Announced in game when it starts. Its carrier is marked on everyone's screen, and the payout arrives with a counted-up card.
  • Trashman: A surge can overfill the gun, and the unlock text tells you how.
  • Type Race: A new chat minigame. Be first to type the phrase.
  • Leaderboards: Press E on a tab to switch boards.
  • Deep Sea Diver: Loose chests sink to the seabed and wrecks surface over time, and the diver HUD runs smoother.
  • Marketplace: Opens at Character level 5.
  • Lightsaber: Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader spawn with one, and Force Absorb now helps against the infected.

Fixes

  • Fixed bullet holes drawing as black holes.
  • Fixed an issue with farming kills from behind props.
  • Fixed a blank leaderboard after a reload.
  • Fixed an issue with the Escape menu tab dropdown.
  • Fixed an issue with the inventory flickering open and shut when you held I.
  • Fixed an issue where creatures stuck in flooded channels stayed stranded.
  • Smoother frames from floor drops, the ammo counter and the killfeed.
