October 8 Update

Pet eggs, 102 pets, cosmetic props, the stash and a deeper ocean

October 8, 2026

Pets got a big upgrade, you can now build with cosmetic props, the ocean has new sections to dive, and a stash now holds anything your rank can't.

Pets

  • 102 pets: Sixty-seven new pets joined the roster, each with its own skins.
  • Pet eggs: The Antlion Grub and Antlion Guard now hatch from eggs. Zog sells them, and the egg cracks open in a short hatch scene.
  • Hatch announcements: Epic and Legendary hatches show up in chat with the pet's picture. You'll see the rest of your own.
  • Pet ages: Pets grow through six ages as they level, and their size changes with them. The level-up message tells you when a new age arrives.
  • Age-Up Potions: Feed one to a pet to grow it an age without waiting for levels. You earn one with each Taming level, and Zog sells them. Converting a pet gives back the potions it drank.
  • Zog's Traveling Zoo: Zog's pet tab now shows a rotating selection of pets that changes every visit. An offer gets pricier as it sells.
  • Pet XP: Climbing a job ladder pays less pet XP than before, so pets level at a steadier pace.
  • Clearer Wisdom: Pet Wisdom lines now say how much XP they add and which jobs they count in.
  • Pets button: The Pets button in the Escape menu opens the pets tab instead of the wardrobe.
  • Pet perks: Armour now absorbs a hit before Rekindle spends itself, Bloodsucker no longer rounds every hit up, and the Tide Beetle's Gift refreshes when your Mining or Fishing job levels.

Cosmetic Props

  • Roleplay Props: Props from the Roleplay Props category are now cosmetic. They have their own allowance, never block movement or bullets, and are cheaper on your frame rate than normal props.
  • Where to find it: Your cosmetic count shows beside the ammo display, and the Q menu has a cosmetic toggle.
  • Working on a prop: Pick one up with the physgun or aim a tool at it and it turns into a real prop while you work. It goes back to cosmetic when you let go, without shifting.
  • Copy and paste: Cosmetic props copy and paste with the Advanced Duplicator.
  • Bigger allowances by rank: Each rank now gets its own cosmetic prop allowance.

Accessories

  • Nine new accessories: The Speed Relic, Relic of Coins, Ender Relic, Blood God Sigil, Haste Artifact and a four-piece Titanium line (Talisman, Ring, Artifact and Relic).
  • Titanium line: Forged by Bubu at the Forge, with higher Retro Miner levels needed for the later pieces.
  • Haste Ring: Now gives Mining Speed instead of faster finds.
  • Speed line: Speed Talisman, Ring and Artifact now work outside infestations too.
  • Feather line: Works everywhere, not only in infestations.
  • Zombie and Spider lines: Now cover the whole Undead and Arthropod families.
  • Healing Talisman and Ring: Retuned to heal a little less.
  • Sell prices: The Speed Relic and Titanium line can now be sold back.

Retro Miner

  • Mining Fortune on pickaxes: A tool's own Mining Fortune now boosts your finds.
  • Level to use: Bubu's tools need the right Retro Miner level to swing. If someone hands you a drill you're too low for, it tells you the level you need.
  • Mithril Drill: The first Mithril Drill costs more than the pickaxe line below it.

Ocean and Beach

  • Three ocean sections: The Sunlit Shelf, the Drop-Off and the Black Deep each have their own creatures, rewards and an entry card.
  • Chitin Key: The island on the Shelf is its own area with antlions that dig up around you on sand.
  • New sea creatures: Several new sea creatures live in the deeper sections.
  • Diver regions: Dive regions ask for a Deep Sea Diver level and have their own loot. Going in under level isn't blocked, but your suit drains faster.
  • Beach antlions: Antlions dig up around you on the beach sand, hunt you, jump and chase, and burrow back down when you lose them. The beach sees them less often than before.
  • Shrouded: They now stay below the Inner Tunnels in the sewers.
  • Infected: Ranged infected turn around before backing away instead of walking backwards.

Inventory and Stash

  • Rank stash: If you lose a rank, items in slots you no longer have move to your stash instead of showing as blank RANK tiles.
  • Using the stash: Pick up refills stacks, then your inventory, the bank while it's open and a backpack. You can also sell stashed guns, put items into sacks, or clear it. Use /viewstash or /pickupstash, and you'll get a reminder every few minutes.
  • Sell the stash at the Bazaar: The Sell panel has a Stash source next to your bag and sacks.
  • Empty stash: /viewstash tells you when the stash is empty.
  • Inventory layout: Folding a panel no longer resizes the sacks.

Progression

  • Collections menu: Each collection tier now lists what it unlocks, such as shop offers, Accessory Bag sizes and Quiver sizes. The unlock chips are easier to read.
  • Mining sacks: The coal sacks hold more, so they fill in a time that matches the other sacks.
  • Clay: The Clay Ball collection has more tiers.
  • Beginner Combat Sack: Opens one step earlier.
  • Job speed: Trashman and City Worker level speed bonuses are gentler at the top and halved in the sewers.
  • Kill Combo: No longer pays cash per combo. Its Magic Find stays.

New Players

  • F4 on the right tab: F4 opens on the tab your current onboarding step points at.
  • Mia: She calls newcomers over before they've spoken to her and answers if you try a menu too early. Her offer no longer says Skip is how menus open.
  • Beach and Sewers: Players who skip the tour have to visit the Fountain before those doors open.
  • Arrivals room: The HUD shows for new players instead of waiting for them to say hello to Mia.

Jobs and Places

  • Trashman dumpsters: Each trashman now has their own load in every map dumpster, so a high-level player can't empty cans before a newcomer gets to them.
  • Talking to Mia and other NPCs: The interaction menu now targets them properly. Mia no longer turns sideways or waves in a loop.
  • Profiles: You can view the profile of a player who just left, and a profile no longer opens empty.
  • Reports and suggestions: You can send one every 15 seconds.

Fixes

  • Prestige: Fixed an issue where a prestige purchase charged you without saving.
  • Bodyguards: You now pay the fee you were quoted.
  • Double or Nothing: Fixed an issue with raid Double or Nothing payouts.
  • Shields: Frontal hits are blocked wherever they land on you.
  • Sonar: Every rock a ping finds gets a ring, not only identified ones.
  • Armory: The restock timer counts down and re-enables itself, and a failed Rubber Rounds issue no longer uses up your allowance.
  • Banks: Printers can be cracked whatever job their owner holds, and capital purchases no longer refuse themselves.
  • Lean: The menu closes at the range the server serves, and a refused buy tells you why.
  • Bitminers: Miners lose power when a generator or solar converter has nothing to give, and the generator shows as running.
  • Chess and draughts: Removing a board removes its pieces, and a win on time scores the right Elo.
  • Clout guns: A holstered gun no longer zooms the next weapon you pull out.
  • Notifications: Fixed an issue where notifications could stop appearing after a reconnect.
  • Aiming: Your gun no longer lowers as if at a wall when you aim at a player or NPC.
  • Yeast grinders: A motor or bag can only be fitted to one grinder.

Performance

  • Smoother frames: Several HUD pages and effects use less memory and fewer frame resources, and the dive HUD only loads while you're diving.
