October 4 Update

Gang wars, the IronMine desktop, gemstones and a Broker sell box

October 4, 2026

Gangs can go to war, bitminers get a full desktop, the Blacksmith learns gemstones, and the Broker takes goods from a sell box.

Gangs

  • Gang Wars: Declare war on another gang from the Allies page. Kills and turf decide the winner, with optional stakes. The war shows on both gangs' territory banner and on HQ.
  • Weekly Contracts: Each gang gets contracts based on the jobs its members play. Finish tiers for gang XP and cash for members who helped. Find them on the HQ page.
  • Fortify: A new Territory upgrade makes it harder to take ground from a gang while its members are playing.
  • Upgrade Lines: Extortion, Home Turf, Veterancy, Tribute and Logistics are now five bigger steps each. Rungs you already bought still count.
  • Any Job Can Claim Turf: Gang members on any non-government job can claim territory. Police still stop captures.
  • Real Activity Pays: Gang payouts now favour members who are actually playing over idle ones.

Bitminers

  • IronMine Desktop: The terminal is now a full desktop with the IronMine app, a terminal, System Monitor and Files. Every old command still works.
  • Tuning and the Exchange: Pick Eco, Balanced or Turbo, watch the coin chart and set a one-time sell order. Turbo chips blades, and you pay to repair them.
  • Boot Sequence: A new miner boots through BIOS and a one-time installer where you name your computer and user. Mining waits until that's done.
  • Hung Miners: A miner can hang. End the stuck process in System Monitor to restart it.
  • Fan Hum: Working miners hum, and the pitch follows how hard they're running.
  • Cheaper Running: Generators burn fuel much more slowly, and the S1 and S2 upgrades cost a lot less.

Broker and Selling

  • Sell Box: Press E on a Broker with nothing in hand to open a sell box in your inventory. Drag goods in and press E again to sell them all at once. It shows on the Broker page too.
  • Knives: Kept and rental knives can now be sold from your inventory. Unboxed knives are worth much less than before.
  • Hollow: Offers at most one knife per visit, and round boxes vary in size per offer.
  • Remote Banking: Premium+ can deposit and withdraw from any ATM tier.
  • Money Shortcuts: Money commands read amounts like 2.5k, 1.75m and 3b.

Drug Jobs

  • Meth Cook: Cooks the Industrial Chemist's meth. Pick Meth, Glitter or Melange on the combiner, whose screen has a new look. Higher grades stay with the Industrial Chemist.
  • Meth in Your Inventory: Meth stacks by the gram, and its card shows weight, grade, description and Broker worth.
  • Freezer Trays: Press E on a racked tray to take it out of its freezer.
  • Pharmacist Formulas: Add up to three additives to a finished mix for traits that change a pill's value and effects. Some traits show on your character. See the new Formulation pages in the guide book.
  • Pinned Recipes: Pharmacists can pin a recipe from the guide book to the HUD.
  • Weed Growers: You're told where the generator's power button is if you miss it.

Combat and Gear

  • Gemstones: Refine Ruby, Amethyst, Jasper and Sapphire at the Mine Merchant. Rare and better guns and knives get gem slots you can set at the Blacksmith's Gemstones tab.
  • Fuming Potato Books: Five more books after the Hot Potato Books, dropped by world bosses.
  • Power Stones: Twenty stones, each with its own bonus. Maxwell teaches you a power once you've unlocked it.
  • Scuba Gear: Packs without a pocket, so it no longer takes a storage row. Gear you already own is moved into your inventory or stash.

The Infestation

  • Doors Under Attack: Infected break doors down faster and can pound through a fading door. Police in pursuit can kick in a locked door. A knocked-down door stays down as debris.
  • The Depths: More poison zombies and headcrabs, and the Toxic Bomber leaves a wider poison pool.
  • Blood God Crest: Now a rare Radiant drop.
  • Round Drops: Infected drop fewer rounds.

Mining and Menus

  • Retro Miner: Better metals burn more coal per batch.
  • Chat: The chat box stays on one line. Global and other chat names can be hovered and clicked, and View profile opens the game menu profile.
  • Minigame Answers: You can type minigame answers in global chat.
  • Mia and Jack: Their dialogue card now matches the game's look.
  • Escape Menu: The top bar fits 16:10 and 4:3 screens. The Game tab's Rules button opens the in-game rules reader.
  • F4 Menu: The price board is now called Commodities, and Rules, Guides and Links come first on the row. The Market's first page is Auctions.

Fixes

  • Parties: Accepting a party invite now joins the party that invited you (thanks to Strange for reporting it).
  • Meth Crates and Pallets: Ones bought in the F4 menu now belong to you again (thanks to gtalover2 for reporting it).
  • Trashman: Fixed skill checks that ticked but never showed.
  • Bram: Fixed his menu not opening, and acid pools that never faded.
  • Sell Box: Fixed a stack being split or dropped mid-sale, and clearer messages when it won't take an item.
  • Sale Boosters: Fixed an issue with sale boosters.
  • Sale XP: Selling pays XP on the goods' value, not on boosters or bonuses.
  • Reforges: Fixed several issues with the Anvil, Accessory Bag and Blacksmith stat sheets.
  • Territory HUD: Fixed it not fading back in when a card arrived mid-fade.
  • War Cooldown: Long cooldowns read in hours and minutes.
  • Bitminer Menu: Every action now gets an answer, even a refused one.
  • Smoother Frames: Less work around the Meth Cook lab, drug effects and diving gear.
